There are 52 cards in a regular blackjack-card deck. 2-10 cards carry face value. Color cards – jack, queen and king – are more than 10 counts. Ace can be either 1 or 11, depending on the quality of the hand. Jokers should be excluded from a card-deck blackjack and not used during the game.

The method for counting cards in blackjack is pretty easy to understand. Everything you need to do is keep a mental number of high and low blackjack cards dealt so far. Start counting with 0 every time the card was dealt 2-6, add 1 to your number, and hand each time a card from 10 to Ace, then remove 1 from the count.
